چکیده
This paper presents a low-power single chip WLAN 802.11a transceiver RFIC for personal communication terminal applications. The 5.2GHz transceiver RFIC is implemented in a 0.5 m SiGe technology with 16 mm die size. It consumes 110/130mA in receive/transmit mode under a 3.3V supply. The receiver path shows a 6.4dB noise figure and a -20dBm IIP3 under a maximal 67dB gain. The transmitter path OIP3 is measured as 29.7dBm. The LC-tuned VCO has a tuning range from 4.08GHz to 4.7GHz and the measured phase noise is 112dBc/Hz @ 1MHz offset. Also discussed are design considerations for multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) transceiver RFIC implementations. Index Terms — WLAN, 802.11a, SiGe, MIMO, RFIC, low power, low noise, linearity, EVM.

In the last three years, a program focused in mixed-signal/RF IC testing has been established at the University of Florida. Industry collaboration has been key in providing direction, support and equipment for this effort. Through this effort, I see a strong role for building RF IC test research groups in the university environment to better solve the hard IC test problems. In addition, the mix...
متن کاملDevelopment and Implementation of Built-in Testing Techniques for Analog and Rf Integrated Circuits
The objective of this research is to develop built-in testing (BIT) techniques for the functional verification of analog and RF circuits and systems. The aim is to avoid the use of external analog instrumentation so that the cost of testing is reduced. The major challenges addressed by this work are: (1) To develop techniques for the on-chip test of integrated RF and analog circuits through a f...
متن کاملThe Life Story Experience of “Migrant Dentists” in Australia: Potential Implications for Health Workforce Governance and International Cooperation
Background The migration of dentists is a major policy challenge facing both developing and developed countries. Dentists from over 120 countries migrate to Australia, and a large proportion are from developing countries. The aim of the study was to assess the life story experience (LSE) of migrant dentists in Australia, in order to address key policy challenges facing dentist migration. Meth...
